# Token Issuance

This tutorial details the steps to issue a tokenized instrument using the Credential and Registry utilities.

## Instrument

The tokenized instrument issued is called `BOND` and is defined in the “Registrar creates instrument configuration” step.

## Roles

## Credential Design

In this tutorial there are two sets of credentials:

* one set for role (Provider, Registrar and Holder) onboarding in the Registry
* one set for token-specific roles (BOND issuer and BOND holder) in the Registry
